Faye was diagnosed with an extremely rare appendix cancer called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. Her mother had passed away from bowel cancer, so Faye was distraught when she learned about her diagnosis.
After experiencing no symptoms, Faye had an ovarian cyst, and that’s when the cancer was discovered. She would undergo the mother of all surgeries as well as HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy).
