Hope One, a new mobile outreach unit, hits the road to aid Burlington County youth [Video]

Burlington County has launched Hope One for Youth, a new mobile outreach unit aimed at providing mental health and substance use prevention services for children and teens. The new service was introduced at the Bring Health Home Resource Fair at the county’s Human Services Building and is seen as “a significant step toward combating substance use and mental health stigma among the younger population.”

Hope One for Youth will be staffed by specialists from the Burlington County Department of Human Services and the Burlington County Municipal Alliance. The unit will visit local schools, youth group meetings, houses of worship, and community events to provide educational presentations, distribute age-appropriate materials, and educate children, teenagers, and parents on topics like mental health and substance use prevention.
