HOMES Under The Hammer’s Tommy Walsh has opened up about the ‘cutting edge’ cancer treatment he is receiving on the NHS.
It was revealed in January that Tommy, 67, had received a diagnosis of lung cancer and he has now given an update on his health.
The star, who found fame on 90s TV show Ground Force, has revealed he has been undergoing specialist treatment to “target” specific cancer cells.
And the fantastic news is, Tommy’s cancer has shrunk and not spread elsewhere in his body.
Tommy has told The Mirror that he is receiving Stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR). Macmillan Cancer Support explains that SABR “uses many smaller, focused beams of radiation”.
