SALEM, Va. (WFXR)– Governor Glenn Youngkin celebrated legislation passed in Virginia to help residents of the Commonwealth struggling with mental health issues in Salem on Tuesday, June 25.
The governor’s, ‘Right Help, Right Now,’ legislation, which unanimously passed through the General Assembly, marks a three-year plan designed to fix issues with the state’s behavioral health care system. In the legislation, the governor marks down six steps to attacking this issue, which include:

“Right Help, Right Now is a big hug for so many areas in our behavioral help and mental that had just needed a complete overhaul,” said Governor Youngkin. “The work that’s gone on has been so transformative, and it continues.”
