COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – An event is raising money to give people more access to mental health care and to break the stigma surrounding mental illness.
On Wednesday, amateur golfers, including NBC4 staffers, were part of the effort at Topgolf, which hosted the Spring Swing Against Stigma fundraising event for the Netcare Foundation.
NBC4’s Matthew Herchik is a Netcare board member, and NBC4 anchor Matt Barnes joined him at the event.
Netcare offers specialized treatment for adults who need behavioral health services, including a crisis hotline and free mental health assessments.
