Gardeners’ World star Carol Klein announces she’s cancer-free

Gardeners’ World star Carol Klein has shared a health update after previously revealing her breast cancer diagnosis.

The 78 year old expert had initially disclosed her cancer battle to her followers in early May. She revealed that she had undergone a double mastectomy and now, while presenting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the BBC, Carol has joyfully announced that she has been given the all-clear.

In an Instagram video posted on June 6, the BBC favourite shared she has written a new memoir called Hortobiography before giving an update on her recent health woes.

She said: “It’s been quite a challenging year. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I had a double mastectomy.” In a four-word admission, Carol added: “I’m now cancer-free.”

On May 31 the presenter revealed she had undergone an operation following her cancer diagnosis.
