COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -Vanguard Skin Specialists is offering a free skin cancer spot check event Friday. The event aims to combat skin cancer, which affects one in five Americans and is prevalent in areas with sunny, high-altitude climates like Colorado.

Dr. Vinh Chung of Vanguard Skin Specialists highlights the importance of regular skin checks in preventing skin cancer, noting that early detection is crucial.
