TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – This spring, Florida lawmakers quietly passed a new health bill that allows doctors to perform cesarean sections (C-sections) in so-called ‘advanced birth centers,’ making the sunshine state the only place in the country where the surgical procedure is allowed outside of hospitals.
