FDA approves KY-based Isaiah House opioid treatment device [Video]

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (FOX 56) — The opioid recovery treatment device used by the Isaiah House has received FDA clearance.

Isaiah House is Kentucky’s largest community-focused nonprofit addiction treatment organization and serves around 3,500 people suffering from substance abuse each year, per a news release. The organization announced its partnership with NET Recovery on Tuesday to bring NET Recovery’s proprietary neurostimulation therapy to the bluegrass.

According to the 2023 Drug Overdose Fatality Report from the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, approximately 80 percent of Kentucky’s overdose deaths in 2023 involved opioids. NET Recovery’s device works to reduce opioid withdrawal symptoms within 24 hours, Isaiah House said.

According to a news release, the device is used for three to five days of continuous treatment and reduces withdrawal symptoms using neurostimulation.
