Fans rally around popular rock frontman after cancer announcement [Video]

Prayers continued to roll in Saturday for Lou Koller, the frontman for popular punk rock band Sick of It All, after he announced Friday that he was battling cancer.

Koller made his announcement via the band’s Instagram page as rumors began to circulate as to why Sick of It All had cancelled its upcoming European tour. The band also announced a GoFundMe with a goal of $80,000 on Saturday. They quickly blew past that mark and raised the goal to $200,000. As for early Sunday morning, the GoFundMe had collected more than $160,000.

“There’s some rumors going around as to why, and we are here to set the record straight, but we wanted to wait until we got all the information before making an announcement,” Koller said in his Saturday announcement.
