Explore STL Parks hosts free, weekly hikes around St. Louis [Video]

ST. LOUIS — You might know Steph Hampton as the momma behind Explore STL Parks. 

The popular Instagram page that brings all the trail tips and tricks for St. Louis families has garnered over 100,000 followers.

And this Summer, you can Explore STL Parks with the pros! 

Steph (@explorestlparks) and Eliza (@eliza.donelson) started a free caregiver and kid nature meetup (formerly known as “Nature Play STL”) in March 2022. They wanted to form a free group for families to encourage exploring outside as a family.

Participants gather at parks across the area on Wednesdays at 9:30 am. The meetups include unstructured nature play, a short hike (paved or unpaved), sometimes a read-aloud or activity, and playing in all the dirt!

I met Steph and her crew at Laumeier Sculpture Park Wednesday morning to join in on the fun!
