Enloe Health broke ground on its Comprehensive Cancer Center on Friday | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – We are one step closer to having better access to cancer care in our area. On Friday, Enloe Health broke ground on its Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

“Several years have been spent planning this critically needed project, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally begin construction,” president and CEO of Enloe Health, Mike Wiltermood, said. “For decades to come, the Gonzales Comprehensive Cancer Center will be critically important to our recruitment and continued ability to provide outstanding care close to home.”

The new center will include the following:

• Expanded patient care space 
• Advanced treatment options 
• New Equipment 
• Integrated supportive therapies 
• And more 

Action News Now was there for the ceremony. We spoke to Dan and Dawn Gonzales, who contribute 13 acres of land in the Meriam Park community. 

The center was named the Gonzales Comprehensive Cancer Center after them.
