End of life nurse reveals the ‘worst’ (and ‘best’) diseases to die from [Video]

Death is a scary concept to most, but palliative care nurses are perhaps the most familiar with it.

They witness firsthand the diseases that take people’s lives and Julie McFadden, a hospice nurse in California, has candidly spoken about the ‘worst’ and ‘best’ ones to die from, based on what she has seen.

On TikTok star Therapy Jeff’s podcast, Problem Solved, the end of life care nurse said: ‘To me, there are a couple diseases that are the worst.’

The first illness Julie listed was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

‘If I ever got ALS, I think I would take medical aid… I just wouldn’t want to do it. That’s a tough one,’ she said.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease or motor neurone disease (MND).

It causes the death of neurons which control voluntary muscles, making it difficult to walk, talk, swallow and breathe.
