EastEnders spoilers: Alfie delivers news to Kat on his cancer battle | Soaps [Video]

Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) was full of the joys of spring in Wednesday’s (May 15) episode of EastEnders as he arrived in Walford East with some news for Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).

Last year, Alfie was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The news of his illness completely terrified him and his family but in tonight’s episode, he received some positive and hopeful updates.

Heading into Walford East, Alfie spotted Kat and Tommy (Sonny Kendall) sitting at a table.

Kat was curious as to how his hospital trip had gone, and Alfie confirmed he had officially finished his hormone therapy treatment.

He also revealed he would still have to attend the hospital for regular PSA check ups, which will involve Alfie having blood tests to measure the level of prostate-specific antigen in his blood.

It was lovely news for Alfie, Kat and their sons, who got settled down to enjoy their lunch.
