DECATUR, Miss. (WTOK) – WTOK wants to highlight a person who is being remembered throughout our community.
Earlier this week – Newton County School District teacher and alumna – Krissi Harris Munn passed away unexpectedly after battling stage 4 melanoma for two years. In tribute messages online – Krissi is remembered for her competitive nature and unwavering love and faith throughout her life. The legacy she left behind as a longtime educator for Newton County School District and a softball player for both Newton County and East Central Community College spreads far and wide. She was a 2002 graduate of Newton County, a multiple state champion in softball, and an All-American at East Central.
