Dr Mostafa Kamal Masud – Next Gen Research Fellowship [Video]

In Queensland, 305 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year. Sadly, the five-year survival rate for this disease is only 49%. Dr. Mostafa Kamal Masud is conducting cutting edge research that aims to turn these numbers around.

Dr. Masud, from The University of Queensland, is conducting research focused on developing a device which, using nanoengineered structures, aims to make it possible to detect early-stage ovarian cancer within 2 hours at a GP clinic.
