Dothan Rescue Mission cleans facility following bed bug complaint; no bed bugs found [Video]

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After cleaning and disinfecting the rooms at the Dothan Rescue Mission on East Crawford Street and talking with exterminators, officials say they found no proof of bed bugs.

This cleaning comes after Michael Lister, who has been living at the Dothan Rescue Mission for about six weeks, filed a complaint that he had been living with bed bugs and feared for his life every night when he would go to bed.

“There’s not an outbreak like it appeared,” Executive Director of the Dothan Rescue Mission, Brad Hardy said.

Lister, who says he is battling cancer, filed the complaint and from there, the mission then began disinfecting and cleaning the beds.

As they do, whenever a complaint of bed bugs is filed.
