Dermatology group offering free skin cancer screenings Friday in Colorado Springs [Video]

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Vanguard Skin Specialists and KKTV 11 News are teaming up for a free skin cancer spot check event this Friday, June 21. The free cancer screening is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. at Vanguard’s Briargate office located at 9348 Grand Cordera Parkway in Colorado Springs.

“Skin cancer can be scary, but it’s completely curable if caught early, so the key there is early. You want early diagnosis, early treatment. That will give you the highest cure rate,” said Dr. Vinh Chung with Vanguard Skin Specialists.

Full-body skin exams from dermatologists are recommended annually, and possibly more often if you are at a higher risk. If you have any concerning spots, moles, or just want a skin check, you are invited to attend this free event. You do not need to sign up ahead of time.
