BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A heat advisory is in effect for much of Kern County from Saturday morning through 11 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service in Hanford said.

Forecasters are expecting temperatures to surpass triple digits this weekend and through Wednesday in Bakersfield, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22 through 11 a.m. Monday, June 24.

NWS Hanford’s advisory said high temperatures of 102 to 108 degrees are expected throughout the San Joaquin Valley, west side mountains, the lower Sierra foothills and the Kern River Valley.
