SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Dakota News Now team had a successful weekend at the Midwest Journalism Conference!
The news station received six Eric Sevareid awards on Saturday at a ceremony in Minneapolis.
The awards are named for journalist Eric Sevareid, who was born in North Dakota, studied at the University of Minnesota and went on to be a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television.
Reporter Parker Brown won first place in the “multimedia journalist” category for the following stories:

• The “First Alert Winter Weather Special” in the “specialty programming” category
