A federal appeals court has revived a lawsuit filed by four hospital systems against the Oregon Health Authority demanding the state provide long-term care to civilly committed patients at the Oregon State Hospital.
The three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overruled U.S. District Judge Michael W. Mosman’s dismissal of the suit, filed in September 2022 by Legacy Health, PeaceHealth, Providence Health & Services and St. Charles Health System.
