University of Colorado football coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders visited children with cancer and sickle cell disease at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
BOULDER, Colo. — Patients at an Aurora hospital had a special visit Monday from Coach Prime.
Aflac executive Garth Knutson joined Sanders in the visit.
Sanders handed out interactive Aflac stuffed animal ducks to help them get through their treatments.
“I’m happy and elated to be here to inspire you, to give you the hope and the presence you need to go on to the next day,” Sanders said. “Because you’re going to win this battle, you’re going to win this fight, because you got it in you, you’ve got a wonderful team around you, because that’s that we need, a wonderful team around us to help us do the things we deserve to do.”
