Clarksburg accepting opioid funding requests [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The City of Clarksburg is accepting applications for Opioid Funding Requests.

These funds are provided through Clarksburg’s portion of the opioid settlement.

The city may use these funds for projects that further education, emergency services, prevention, intervention, and–or rehabilitation.

Government or tax-exempt nonprofit entities can apply for the funds.

Applicants must fill out the city’s “Opioid Funding Application Form” on the city’s website,.and have an established history of addressing concerns and projects encompassed by one of the mentioned categories.

If approved, the applicant should be prepared to provide quarterly updates the council or upon request by the city manager.

Applications can be mailed or emailed to the City of Clarksburg City Clerk.
