City Watch Alert: Memphis woman missing after leaving hospital [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have issued a City Watch Alert for a missing elderly woman who disappeared after leaving a local hospital.

Police said Gerldine Mitchell, 79, has been missing since June 7, 2024. MPD said she was discharged from Baptist East Hospital and has not been heard from since. They said she has lung cancer and a history of strokes.

Mitchell is 5’4″ tall and 120 lbs., and was last seen wearing all black clothing and glasses.
