Chemo Buddies 6th annual Hopefest happens this Saturday | News [Video]

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEVV) — Chemo Buddies 6th annual Hopefest is happening on Saturday at Friedman Park.

The festival aims to celebrate cancer survivors, those in treatment, and volunteers.

Officials say Chemo Buddies volunteers can often times be found in area hospitals, spending time with patients as they receive care.

The festival runs on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it all starts with the 5K run. There will also be food trucks, inflatables, face painting and live music.
