Charlie Cosser’s heartbroken parents send murdered teen, 17, ‘I love you’ text messages every morning – as his father says son’s death has ‘destroyed our world’ [Video]

Murdered teenager Charlie Cosser’s heartbroken parents have revealed how they send him text messages saying ‘I love you’ every morning.

Charlie, 17, was stabbed to death at an end-of-term party in West Sussex last summer – a death which his father today said had ‘ruined our world’.

His family have now devoted themselves to campaigning against knife crime – fulfilling a promise made to Charlie as he lay in critical care after the attack in the grounds of a £1.5million country farmhouse.

Charlie’s killer Yura Varybrus, who will be 18 this November, was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years earlier this month – and the judge at Brighton Crown Court ruled his identity could be revealed. 

The tragic victim’s parents Tara and Martin are now campaigning for tougher knife crime laws and Mr Cosser said he had already ‘done a number of talks’ at schools.
