Celebrating the Kids Heart Challenge | Local [Video]

K-5 Students at Clinton Elementary School held a fundraiser for the American Heart Association back in March. For each milestone achieved the students came up with an event like dumping ice water on their teacher, or giving a pie to the face. It was all done as part of the student’s reward for raising over $17 thousand and learning about heart health. Clinton Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Travis Grogan talked about what they learned. 

“It’s important to take care of your body. We talk to them about eating right. We even talk to them about strokes, heart attacks, what they are, what happens, and how people get help for that.”
