Catholic Charities holds second annual day of service [Video]

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Catholic Charities held their second annual Day of Service to encourage the support of local nonprofits.

This special collaboration with area faith and community partners is meant to connect volunteers from across Wichita Falls with unique service projects to help Catholic Charities serve our friends and neighbors in need.

“Nonprofits cannot do what we do without the support of so many in the community, so whether you’re stepping up to do project at the habitat, or volunteering to answer the phones at Catholic Charities, the nonprofit community really relies so heavily on community involvement and support,” Catholic Charities Director of Northwest Services, Laura Sotelo.

For Day of Service, volunteers were at Vernon College to stock their food pantry, the Habitat for Humanity Construction Site and Restore, the Christmas in Action Project Site and the Grace Ministries Food Bank.
