RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – On June 2, celebrate the 4th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day with an 80s-themed event at the Reno Elks Lodge. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy live music by New Wave Crave, hula hoop and Rubik’s cube contests, dance demos, ‘80s art tables, a nonprofit fair, and a silent auction.

Come dressed in your favorite ‘80s gear and support local cancer survivors and their families. The first 100 registrants will receive a swag bag.

Michelle Taylor, Program Director of Cancer Community Clubhouse, and Jamie Vaughn, host of the “Test Those Breasts” podcast, joined us on Morning Break and emphasized the event’s importance for community support and awareness.
