BATSTOOL Sports boss Dave Portnoy has revealed that he has undergone surgery for cancer.

The news came via a teaser clip shared on TikTok for the latest episode of the BFFs Podcast.

Hosted by Portnoy and Brianna LaPaglia, they were joined on this recording by Kelly Trotta and Maddie Schrader.

In the clip, LaPaglia asked Portnoy, “Do you have a scratch on your neck? Like a cut?”

“Yeah. You’re the first person to ask,” he responded, showing a close-up look at the fresh scar on his neck.

“Is that stitches?” asked LaPaglia following gasps.

“Yeah, Cancer,” Portnoy said nonchalantly.

The clip refrained from giving any further information away about Portnoy’s diagnosis or treatment.
