LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville poet is putting her pain on center stage at the Kentucky Center this weekend.
Robin G is an award winning poet. She teamed up with Best Dad Media to create the film “I Love You, But Not Like I Love Me.” The sold out show premiered on Friday and runs through Saturday at Kentucky Performing Arts MeX Theater.
G said she used her passion for poetry as therapy during a painful time in her life.
“This project is three years in the making, it was inspired by heartbreak but has turned into something way more beautiful and bigger than just that,” Robin Garner said. “It’s a self-love story.”
The project is a collaboration between the Kentucky Foundation for Women’s Art Meets Activism Grant and KCP’s Art Reach MeX project.
