Avera breaks ground on medical office building in south Sioux Falls [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Tuesday, Avera Health held a groundbreaking for a building that will house digestive health services in south Sioux Falls.

The 127,000-square-foot medical office building will be on the Avera Health Campus on Louise.

Mayor Paul Ten Haken joined Avera McKennan Regional President and CEO Dr. Ronald Place and Avera gastroenterologist Dr. Christopher Hurley.

“I’m interested in balancing the books. But we’re not doing this to make money. We’re doing this to provide access to care. We’re doing this to make a positive impact on life and health for people who live in the community and the greater South Dakota region,” said Dr. Place.

Leaders with the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce were also present.
