At-home cervical cancer screenings approved by FDA [Video]

SAN ANTONIO — Screening for cancer at home. Tests in which you collect your own samples using a swab, send it to a lab and get results from your doctor, have got the green light from the FDA.

Most cervical cancers are found in people who have never had a cervical cancer screening test or haven’t tested recently. That’s why adding a self-collection method with the results sent right to your doctor, for this potentially deadly disease can make a huge impact.
