Arizona organization donates dozens of wig stands to cancer patients [Video]

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Woodturners Association is using its woodworking skills to help women undergoing cancer treatment.

“We know that going through cancer is a tough situation, and so we thought if we can brighten their day a little, that was great,” said volunteer Mary Schick.

The association donated nearly 90 hand-carved wig stands to Ebeauty, nonprofit that provides hundreds of wigs to women battling cancer.

“Wigs really help the mental health aspect of cancer treatment,” said Leslie Rager, a volunteer with EBeauty community.

Ebeauty operates outside of a Buckeye home and stores nearly 10,000 wigs in its garage to distribute. Now, cancer warriors not only receive a great wig but also get to pick out a unique wig stand!
