Alison Hammond has given a health update on her son after he was taken to hospital last month. The 19-year-old had his tonsils taken out but it seems that he had made a speedy recovery since his surgery.

The ITV presenter took to Instagram to answer questions from her 1.5 million fans. One person asked her: “How is Aiden doing after his tonsillectomy?”

Alison replied with a heart-warming photo of her son and said: “He is so much better thanks.” Aiden had previously said to Alison that he was “doing fine” whilst he was recovering in a hospital bed.

Uploading the videos to Instagram, Alison’s teenage son penned: “Aidan 1 – tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite emoji],” to which Alison replied in the comments: “My poor baby.”
