Cookie, a 15-year-old indie faced an open pyometra and three intrabdominal masses, suspected to be related to her ovaries and uterus which were confirmed with a CT scan.
A complex surgery was performed to remove both, the uterine masses were involving parts of the bladder and colon which were separated.
Post-surgery, the analysis confirmed a granulosa cell tumor and endometrial hypoplasia, but Cookie didn’t just recover—she started gaining weight and strength. Cookie’s journey reminds us that age is merely a number, not a roadblock to quality care.
