Advancing HPV Vaccination Equity Webinar

This webinar was held on June 13, 2024, in partnership with the ACS Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) Initiatives Team as part of their Webinar Series for Cancer Coalitions.

This ACS webinar highlighted how HPV vaccination related policies are currently being worked on and are key to impacting increased HPV vaccination and decreased incidence of HPV-related cancers. Presenters shared examples of how to advocate or engage in advocacy actions/activities that partners can employ to advance HPV vaccination equity. Additionally, they also highlighted work with African American communities/ minority populations relevant to HPV vaccination and how we can improve vaccinations.

Speakers included:
– Dr. Jennifer Cunningham-Erves: An Associate Professor of Health Policy and the inaugural Director of Community-Engaged Research in the Office of Health Equity at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
– Jennifer Hoque: An Associate Policy Principal for Access to Care at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). ACS CAN is the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society.

About the Series: The three webinars in this series provides cancer coalition partners with new best practices, innovative approaches, and quality resources to enhance and increase access to cancer care across the continuum.
