Abilene’s Hendrick Home for Children hosting childcare conference [Video]

Professionals from children’s homes across Texas and the nation, including educators, social workers and therapists will engage in three days of learning about trauma-informed therapy, drug and alcohol abuse in preteens and teenagers, behavior strategies and other topics related to their field.

ACCA is an organization of childcare executives committed to promoting Christian character, professionalism in childcare, training, relationships, networking and recognition. The conference, which includes 26 member organizations, allows administrators and direct care staff to advance their skills and connect with colleagues.

“ACCA provides a community of like-minded professionals who are working toward the same goal: serving children and families well,” Hendrick Home newly-appointed President and CEO and ACCA conference chair, Erin Seabourne, said in a news release.
