A touching tribute by the Subway Socceroos for Dylan Tombides [Video]

The Subway Socceroos honoured the memory of Dylan Tombides in the lead up and during their FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Palestine in his hometown of Perth, while supporting DT38 Australia and raising awareness of testicular cancer.

Tombides – a former Australian youth national team player – was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2011, following a random drug test at the U-17 FIFA World Cup which uncovered a tumour. He fought the illness bravely for three years but passed away in April 2014 at just 20 years of age.
