Earlier today, Tiger Woods sent this tweet: “Pretty amazing kid, met @ Sherwood.”

Social media doing what it does best. Lograsso sent up a flare for support, and Tiger, with his 2,427,115 followers, came to the rescue.

And although I like Tiger’s selfless gesture, this post is not about Tiger the social savior; it’s about Kyle the courageous kid. And it’s about using a lot of golf in one day to raise money for a good cause.

Retinoblastoma is a cancer that sounds as bad as it is. Lograsso lost his left eye when he was 2, but only hours after being released from the hospital, he was back to doing what he loved (and still loves): swinging a golf club.

When avid golfers refer to “the kid in me,” they’re referring to Kyle. There’s a Tigger-like bounce to his step, and whatever competitive spark he had in both eyes …
